About Backsaver.
Backsaver invents, manufactures, and supplies African farmers with smart mechanisation tools that take away the pain of farming and increase profitability.
At our factory in Bultfontein in the Free State province of South Africa, our team of local artisans and tinkerers, led by Backsaver founder Michris Janse van Rensburg, invent and manufacture practical solutions to improve small-scale farmers' success rates.
And, operating out of Sandton, the commercial heart of the continent, Ithateng Mokgoro leads Backsaver’s rainmaking efforts, finding partners and nurturing connections that sow seeds, grow yields, and spread the Backsaver story to the world.
With a series of cleverly constructed, hand-propelled applicators, Backsaver has brought much-needed precision into small-scale farmers' operations, easing their workload and increasing crop yield.
Backsaver products have taken root throughout Southern Africa, helping farmers turn their fortunes in South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Swaziland, Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi, and Zambia. Markets have also opened up in East Africa in Uganda, and West Africa in Ghana.
Backsaver Farming Solutions is a proudly South African, Level-2 B-BBEE company.
We have a vested interest in the employment and training of black South Africans. We are fortunate to use B-BBEE legislation to promote transformation in the South African farming sector.
